2019 League 83 Rookie of the Year

I was going to have a vote on this one but it looks to me that there is a clear cut winner....
David Saylor of the Kansas City Chiefs had a great season (even for a seasoned veteran) but this kid is a rookie. I know he and one of his receivers beat my team pretty good. So that is my nominee for the Rookie of the Year. If anyone has any other nominees, please list them below and we can vote on the champ.

David Saylor looks like a very solid vote. But take a look at this kid, Richard Riley. This CB, sitting at 5'11" 180lbs (6% under sized), racked up a very productive season on a sub-par team (Cinni) *No offense to the owner* Rapping up 112 tackles, 2 hurries, 13 knock downs, 45.1 CthAlld (no clue what stat this is) bringing down 4 Ints. All while being thrown at 142 times. This kid will be productive for years to come no matter what team he can play for.

P.S. I'm still kinda new to this game. Came into this league mid season, but this by far is my favorite league so far. Love these kind of post/forums. Please keep them up!

CtchAlld = catches allowed % (# of thrown at divided by catches made by opposing players)
Ideally 30-35% is great, while I have seen 21% before......That's a true shut down Corner
And thnx for the kudos

AH thanks for the info. Still for being a rookie I think that's decent. Love to see how his future turns out. I'm still trying to get a feel for this game in general.

Yes, Riley is a good candidate for the Rookie of the Year. But Saylor is playing QB and playing at a Pro Bowl level as a Rookie!

Offensive Stats ALWAYS outmatch any other stat.
No one cares if Player X was able to successfully defensively shut down Player Y
They only care about Player Y's offensive stats

Not necessarily, defensive stats do get looked at. I think a defender has to have some pretty impressive stats. One thing I look at is the number of plays played. Not having to worry about injury is priceless and an asset to a team.
The Defender did have an excellent rookie season, but Saylor is still having a season that doesn't happen all the time. The kind of rarity like the eclipse tomorrow morning. This league may never see a rookie achieve what Saylor has done.
