The Dallas Cowboys, either you love them, or you hate them. It is rare to find a football fan that does not have an opinion of them. These Dallas Cowboys are one of the Leagues top teams. They were in Los Angeles last night to play the Rams.
Dallas dominated the first half yet were only up 13-0. The Rams had to feel fortunate that they were still in the ballgame despite having only a couple of first downs.
In the second half the Rams struck on their first possession. A 9 play 75 yard drive that made the score 13-7 Dallas.
With 7 minutes left in the 4th, Dallas RB Rock dropped the rock but the Rams could not jump on it. After that the play calling errors showed, with the Rams calling the same plays over and over and Dallas scored another TD with a 2 point conversion made it 21-7.
The next Ram possession went nowhere and the Rams had to punt. But some good D and some timeouts forced Dallas to punt with about a minute left.
Ngo found Simmons for a 68 yard TD and the PAT made it 21-14.
On the ensuing on sides kick, Boyd pulled a rabbit out of his hat once again. It is the 4th onside kick that he has had work. New player Brady jumped on it at the LA 48 and the Rams had life.
The Hail Mary Pass was coming up next..... Nope a pitch to the FB and a loss of yards as the clock hit 0.
The ownership/ play caller of the Rams has accepted responsibility for the loss stating "The Hail Mary was a long shot to win, but if you do not run the play you have zero chance of pulling it off." " I need to do better and think of situations where certain plays and rules need to be put into place so if we are in a situation like this again, the players can go out there and give it a shot, be it a long shot or not." The play caller has not received any disciplinary action beyond what he has to live with. Maybe that is punishment in itself?
Things do not get any easier this week as Kansas City is up next. They have blown out every team they have played this season and really have not been tested. Hopefully the Rams can step up and give the Chiefs a test? To give the Chiefs a loss, would that be too much to ask for? Game is Monday morning 12:02 am.
