Darrin Witt caught 6 passes on Friday, nothing special. Was was special was that 4 of them went for touchdowns! Witt and Ngo torched the Cards D for 277 yards on 6 catches and 4 TD's. WR Thomas Simmons had 5 for 102 yds and a touchdown.
QB Russell Ngo had one of the most productive games of his career passing 20-33 for 475 yards, 5 TD's, 1 INT, with a 131.63 pass rating. He was sacked 4 times.
RB Jason Franke had his best game so far in a Ram uniform with 177 yards on 18 runs and 2 TD's.
On the D side Brian Atherton had 2 interceptions and Willy Martinez grabbed one with his big paws. It is rare the DT gets a pick. The defense didn't play that well but they did play well enough to get the win which is the bottom line.
The Rams are headed up the coast to the Bay Area to play their annual 49'ers game. Last season the Rams eeked out a 16-13 win and this year looks to be just as rough or worse with the 49'ers being 10 point favorites. SF is 3-4 and a Ram win would tie them for 2nd with the 49'ers but still leaves both teams behind 5-2 Seattle so there is work to be done if we want to compete for the National West.
Game is Monday Morning 12:02 am.
