The Rams went north Sunday night to play rival San Francisco and were happy to leave town with a 3 game winning streak. The winning streak follows a 5 game losing streak to bring the Rams to 3-5 and a tie for 2nd place in the division. Both teams are 3 games behind Seattle.
L.A. was pretty dominant looking at the stat sheet. Rams had 23 first downs to SF 7, 521 total yards to 213, 155 yards on the ground compared to 25 for the 49'ers. Russell Ngo ended up 30-54 passing 347 yards. He is the Conferences' leading passer and 2nd in the league to Tennessees' Letson.
On defense Long led in tackles with 8. He also had 2 sacks. Lundstrom had 3 tackles 2 sacks, Willy Martinez had a sack, and Glenn Brown had 2 sacks. It was nice to see the Rams being able to pressure an opposing QB this season and good things came from it.
The Rams head to Atlanta, Georgia to play next. The Falcons have some top receivers and the game is expected to be a tough one. Hopefully the Rams can keep this winning streak alive and keep pace with the division leader or advance on them. All that remains to be seen.
