2017 League MVP

The official 2017 League MVP is...

George "Hubba Hubba" Hubert, QB, Washington Phoenix! With 45.5% if the votes, Hubba Hubba Hubert won the award. He tied for a league-leading 41 offensive TDs (40 passing, 1 rushing) with only 16 INTs (19 less than the other player with 41 TDs). He placed 2nd in passing yards (4,829), 2nd in completions (325), and had a QB rating of 92.93. Hubba also led his team to a 1st-round bye, a 13-3 record, and a 9 win streak. Even more impressive, he did all this as a rookie, outplaying older, more experienced quarterbacks. He played every single offensive snap this year.

2nd in voting was Nickolas "Gimme" Moore RB, Kansas City Chiefs, who ran for a league-leading 1,656 rushing yards, with 6.8 yards per carry, and 4 rushing TDs. He also had 15 receptions for 218 yards, and a receiving TD. He started 15 of 16 games, finishing with 1,874 yards from scrimmage.

3rd in voting was a tie! Pat Dunaway, CB, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Josef Jaeger, QB, for the San Francisco 49ers, both received 13.6% of the votes. Dunaway was a shut-down cornerback this year, with 29 knocked down passes, 5 interceptions, and he only allowed 32% of the over-200 passes thrown in his direction to be completed. On top of this, he had 117 tackles. Josef Jaeger, as a rookie, passed for a league-leading 6,684 passing yards, tied for league leading 41 offensive TDs (tied with Hubert), completed 61% of his passes, posted a 91 QB rating, and led his team to the #1 seed in the NFC playoff race.

5th in the voting was Nicholas "Shifty" Shiflet, who hauled in a league-leading 121 receptions, for league-leading 2,185 receiving yards, and tied for league-leading 14 TD receptions. Shifty proved to be an outstanding receiver this season, completely shutting down opposing teams on a weekly basis, and showing his "Shifty" running style with over 18 yards per reception throughout all of the season.
